2019 Tameside Overall Results
Once again Foden's reign supreme at the Tameside Contest with a convincing win. Foden's once again secured their overall victory in an impressive manner. They didn't get things all their own way however only placing 4th at the Dukinfield Albion Contest. The Open 2nd prize went to Rothwell Temperance and 3rd to Elland Silver.
Local favourites Ashton Brass Band secured the 1st place local prize and The Brian Hill Memorial Award. Mossley took 2nd and Stalybridge Old Band a well deserved 3rd. A carbon copy of last years local competition.
The 1st and 2nd youth prizes went once again to Macclesfield Youth and Mossley Hollins School Bands respectively.
The best in section, went to the following bands:
1st Section – Eccles Borough Band for the second year running.
2nd Section– Meltham and Meltham Mills Brass Band for the first time.
3rd Section– Hoover Bolton for the second year running.
4th Section– Stackstead Band or the first time.
These results are complete and final.
