2018 Tameside Overall Results
Once again Foden's reign supreme at the Tameside Contest with a convincing win. By placing 1st in no less than 7 of the contests, Foden's secured their overall victory in an impressive manner. They didn't get things all their own way however only placing 6th at the Denton contest. The Open 2nd prize went to Northop Silver and 3rd to Elland Silver.
Local favourites Ashton Brass Band secured the 1st place local prize, with Mossley scooping 2nd and Stalybridge Old Band a well deserved 3rd.
The 1st and 2nd youth prizes went to Macclesfield Youth and Mossley Hollins School Bands respectively.
The new prizes for best in section, went to the following bands:
1st Section – Eccles Borough Band
2nd Section– B.D.1
3rd Section– Hoover Bolton
4th Section– Parr Band
